COLOUR MODE

Accessibility

On this page: how this website is designed, how to change its look and how to report a problem.

A project about sensory environments should have a website that is easy on the senses. We design it to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA and follow the Autism Accessibility Guidelines written by Hassell Inclusion for the National Autistic Society.

What we do

  • Soft colours, one font family, short paragraphs.
  • No pop-ups, no carousels, nothing that moves or plays by itself.
  • The same menu in the same place on every page.
  • A short summary at the top of each page.
  • Underlined links and clear button labels.
  • No tracking cookies and no fonts loaded from other websites.

Change how the site looks

Use the Vivid / Calm switch at the top of any page, or open all the sensory settings. You can choose:

  • Colour mode: standard, calm, dark or high contrast.
  • Text size and spacing.
  • An easy-reading font.
  • No motion, and no decorative images.

Your choices are saved on your device only.
