SENS-E is the app we use to record, in the moment, how a university space feels to the people in it.
In development. The app will be used by student researchers and guides during the Sensory Campus Exchange, from early 2027.
How it works
A short prompt
During a session, your phone shows a few questions at intervals. Answering takes less than a minute.
Every sensory channel
You rate sound, light, crowding, temperature and the other channels, say how you feel and suggest how the space could improve.
Two points of view
Visitors rate a space they see for the first time, guides rate the same space they use every day.
Your privacy
- No name, surname or date of birth.
- Each session gets a random code that is not linked to your identity.
- Noise and light levels are measured with calibrated instruments brought by the researchers, not with your phone.
On your phone
SENS-E opens in the browser, in English, Italian or Spanish. You can add it to your home screen like an app. There is nothing to download from an app store.
